Workforce Development Manager Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) organization is seeking a motivated and talented Workforce Development Manager in its' Chief Engineer's office to support the development, design, and integration of Workforce engagement and growth initiatives located in Seattle, WA; Berkeley, MO; El Segundo, CA; Huntsville, AL; North Charleston, SC; Oklahoma City, OK; Ridley Park, PA; Seal Beach, CA; or Mesa, AZ. Position responsibilities: • Collaborate with functional leaders, HR, and program leaders to proactively identify the critical workforce requirements necessary to execute the business • Lead and facilitate workforce planning initiatives including, but not limited to critical role/capability identification, skill health, gap analysis, risk analysis, and action planning • Design and lead engineering staffing strategies across multiple functions to help engineering teams build a diverse pipeline of ready talent • Establish a data-driven planning process for better decision making and to better forecast changes to support demand planning, action planning, supply analytics, and gap analysis • Track, analyze and provide reports to measure the effectiveness of staffing strategies and to drive continuous improvement • Continuously assess existing workforce plans to ensure practical business alignment and lead cross-functional teams in the design of alternative approaches • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to organize and present information in a clear and concise way to a variety of audiences This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science • 3+ years of experience in a lead role as either a team-builder or a team-leader • Test and evaluation experience Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): • Proven ability to embrace change and lead continuous improvement • Experience leading and/or managing complex projects • Willingness and ability to manage ambiguity and turn it into action • Experience communicating effectively with both technical and business stakeholders • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and process improvements Drug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace (DFW) where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
