Senior Program Manager - MQ-25 Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Program Manager (Level L) to join the MQ-25 Program Management team in Hazelwood, MO! MQ-25 is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead Engineering Manufacturing Development (EMD). The MQ-25 Program is an unmanned aerial refueler for the US Navy becoming the first unmanned platform on a US aircraft carrier. The MQ-25 Program is currently in the development phase, with nine aircraft being built and delivered over the next 1-2 years. The position is within the Autonomous Systems division of BDS. The MQ-25 Production Program Manager is responsible for execution and delivery of the aircraft build and delivery to the US Navy test team. This position is focused on the delivery of the development aircraft, with a low rate initial production (LRIP) contract to immediately follow. This position is expected to be 100% onsite, primarily in St. Louis with some travel to Mascoutah, IL. The aircraft fuselage build is currently performed in St. Louis with final assembly at MidAmerica airport in Mascoutah, IL. Assembly of the follow-on LRIP aircraft will be moving to the new factory at MidAmerica airport. A successful candidate will be highly experienced in executing the Boeing Program Management Best Practices (PMBP), and have experience with manufacturing workflow systems and metrics. Finally, highly qualified candidates will have a high level of discipline and follow through, resilience and aptitude for problem solving is a must, biased toward action, finding solutions, overcoming barriers, and enabling the rest of the team to execute efficiently and effectively. Position Responsibilities: • Manages employees and first-level managers performing business management activities in the area of Program Management. • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives. • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. • Establishes Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) program goals and establishes a PMBP improvement plan. • Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers. • Other responsibilities as required. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): • Experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects, transactions or initiatives • Experience working with multiple internal or external stakeholders (i.e. business partner, customer, Finance, suppliers) in planning and executing projects or transactions • Experience supporting projects or programs utilizing Earned Value management and Risk, Issues and Opportunity (RIO) management to drive program performance • 1+ year of experience leading and/or supervising a team • Experience with business problem identification, data collection and preparation, interpretation and problem solving Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): • 3+ years of experience supporting projects or programs utilizing Earned Value management and Risk, Issues and Opportunity (RIO) management to drive program performance • Experience developing and delivering presentations to senior leaders • 5+ years of experience providing, developing, and managing resources required for program execution Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
