Cruise Missile Systems Chief Engineer/Senior Engineering Manager Company: The Boeing Company The Space Intelligence & Weapons Systems (SI&WS) organization is seeking a Cruise Missile Systems Chief Engineer/Senior Engineering Manager for the Weapons Engineering Team based in St. Charles, MO. This position is responsible for management and oversight of the Precision Engagement Systems (PES) Cruise Missile Systems (CMS) Engineering Team in support of CMS programs which includes Harpoon, SLAM-ER, Coastal Defense and other derivatives. Position Responsibilities: Perform as the senior Chief Engineer in support of Cruise Missile System Programs with oversight and approval of technical approaches, integrated plans, products, procedures and processes Oversees all aspects of program engineering and Integrated Product Teams through define, build and support phases Ensures engineering integrity, safety and quality of all products in adherence to company processes Responsible for the Program’s ability to meet cost, schedule, technical and compliance requirements Perform as the Engineering focal for Enterprise Engineering initiatives such as Model-based Engineering, Design Practices and Technical Lead Engineer constructs Senior technical Point of Contact to executive leadership, other functions and customers. Formulates Engineering position and communicating that position when elevation is required Responsible for the portfolio technology roadmap and oversight and management of IRAD projects Technical leadership and development of Program chief engineers and establishing talent pipeline to develop future chief engineers This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active). Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree in an accredited field of study 15+ years of experience leading (formal and/or informal) cross-functional engineering teams 15+ years of execution and technical leadership on development or production programs 5 years of experience with weapon or platform system development, production and sustainment Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering, computer science, aerospace, systems engineering, engineering management, industrial engineering mechanical engineering, mathematics, physics, or similar scientific or engineering fields of study Master of Science degree in an engineering field of study Experience in Production and Development programs Experience with process definition and improvement initiatives, including MBE/MBSE Prior experience as the technical authority of an integrated product or role as a chief engineer Experience with presenting to executive program leaders and to customers Experienced written and verbal communication skills Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
