F/A 18 SLM Experienced Manufacturing Operations Analyst Company: Boeing Aerospace Operations Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an Experienced Manufacturing Operations Analyst/Plane Captain to support the F/A 18 Service Life Modification (SLM) team in San Antonio, TX. The Experienced Manufacturing Operations Analyst will be a primary point of contact for all information and coordination with regards to F/A 18 SLM program. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively with cross-functional partners on status, conditions, help needs, etc. of the aircraft. The candidate will have operations, project management, and customer interfacing experience. Position Responsibilities: Work with the support team in creating the daily operational rhythm Partner with support resources across the San Antonio & St. Louis sites for best practices to modify and improve production processes Review long lead/critical path items to meet the required delivery rates of the customer Regularly contributes to the development of new job practices, techniques, and standards Recognized as a job expert within the department/organization Develops solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation. Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives Performs work with minimal direction and exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment Serves as subject matter expert to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to the designated aircraft Provides technical knowledge and leadership to manufacturing projects that affect organization efficiency Applies process management and process improvement techniques to resolve production concerns Uses problem-solving, analytical, and negotiation skills to develop innovative solutions to manufacturing problems Gathers data, conducts analyses, and develops recommendations for implementation of new systems and processes Facilitates work teams, provides necessary training, and leads problem resolution and process improvement Assist Senior Manufacturing Managers with Earned Value Management (EVM) and Control Account Management (CAM) duties This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements: This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 3+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment 3+ years of experience implementing continuous process improvement, lean processes, and employee involvement and engagement strategies in a manufacturing environment Experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) Experience in collaborative problem solving, building lasting relationships & proficiency in written and verbal communication Experience working in cross-functional teams Experience with Lean manufacturing Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience managing cost and schedule performance using Earned-Value Management (EVM) principles Experience with the Boeing Production System Experience with Safety Process and Protocols Drug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
