Full Description

About Bodily Bodily develops research-driven products for key physiological transitions in women’s bodies. We’re a lean, omni-channel business (DTC, Amazon, wholesale) with complex physical product operations across ~250 SKUs. We care about rigor, clarity, and execution. The Role We’re hiring a Senior Product Development Manager on a part-time, contract basis to independently own and lead our product development function. You will be accountable for building, fitting, and scaling products that meet our standards on timeline, cost, and quality. This role demands deep technical expertise in fabrics and manufacturing, strong supplier negotiation, and a disciplined approach to process and documentation. Remote-friendly, but you must be NY-based for fittings and in-person collaboration. Scope Highlights Manage end-to-end product development from concept through production, ensuring feasibility, scalability, and efficiency. Partner with suppliers to evaluate construction, fabric, and cost trade-offs; negotiate best-fit solutions for speed, quality, and price. Oversee fit sessions in partnership with fit technicians; ensure tech packs are accurately updated, fit comments fully documented, and factories clearly understand and can execute requirements. Maintain accurate documentation and traceable records across development, fitting, and production stages. Work with production and planning teams to optimize material use, repurpose leftovers, and implement shared components. Rigorously manage budgets — spend only as needed, stay under monthly targets, and prioritize ROI-driven decisions. Issue and release production orders; coordinate shipment audits with third-party agencies; resolve problems with urgency and accountability. Seek opportunities to introduce tools and processes that move the organization away from scrappy workarounds toward a refined, scalable product development workflow. What You’ll Do Manage product development from design handoff through production Partner with fit technicians; oversee fit sessions, update tech packs, and ensure factories can execute requirements Negotiate with suppliers on feasibility, scalability, and cost Maintain disciplined documentation and data accuracy throughout development Work with production/planning to optimize materials and minimize waste Manage development budgets with ROI-driven decision making Identify and introduce tools and processes to replace scrappy workflows What You’ll Bring Deep technical knowledge of fabrics, construction, and manufacturing Experience leading fittings and working closely with fit technicians Strong supplier management and negotiation skills Proven ability to issue/release production orders and coordinate shipment audits Highly process-driven with strong attention to detail and documentation Budget-minded, agile decision maker with experience in scrappy, fast-changing environments Independent, resourceful, and proactive problem solver Why Join Us This is a part-time, contract opportunity to take full ownership of product development at a fast-growing, mission-driven company. You’ll shape processes, partner directly with suppliers and cross-functional teams, and see your work directly impact products that matter.
