BNA CPA & Advisors is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Billing Specialist to oversee all billing functions for the firm. This role ensures accurate, timely billing across all service lines including tax, CAAS, advisory, and project-based engagements. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting foundation, experience with Ignition, and thrives in a collaborative professional environment. Key Responsibilities • Manage the full billing cycle for all CPA services, including recurring, project-based, and one-time engagements. • Prepare, review, and issue invoices in alignment with engagement letters and firm billing policies. • Maintain and update client engagement details, recurring fees, and service packages within Practice Ignition (Ignition). • Partner closely with CPAs, CAAS advisors, and admin staff to verify billable services and ensure billing completeness. • Monitor accounts receivable and support follow-up on outstanding invoices as needed. • Reconcile billing data across systems to ensure accuracy and proper documentation. • Generate weekly and monthly billing reports for firm leadership. • Support continuous improvement of billing workflows, processes, and system integrations. • Assist clients professionally with billing questions or requested updates. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. • Strong accounting background, understanding of general accounting concepts, financial statements, and billing principles is required. • Hands-on experience with Practice Ignition (Ignition) is required. • Excellent Excel skills and comfort with billing/reporting tools. • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. • Ability to communicate effectively across departments and with clients. • Ability to manage deadlines and workload in a high-volume environment. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in a CPA firm or professional services environment. • Familiarity with Karbon Practice Management. • Experience with CAAS billing structures or project-based billing models.
