Full Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller with at least 4 years of experience to join our dynamic team! The medical biller is responsible for coordinating all aspects of patient's account for the Livonia clinic in Michigan. Minimum 4 years of experience in billing and healthcare field required. QUALIFICATIONS • Minimum 4 years of experience in billing private insurance is required, with experience in the follow fields preferred: Speech, OT, PT, and/or ABA • Must be comfortable working in a kid friendly enviornment • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills • Strong customer service orientation and bedside manner • Strong background in computers, data entry and Accounts Receivable management. • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance plans. • Strong multi-tasking skills and attention to detail • Strong aptitude with numbers • Knowledge of HIPAA laws is essential • Self-starter with the ability to work independently • Team player who enjoys collaborating in a supportive work environment • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients • Familiarity with Raintree systems is not required but highly beneficial • Other duties assigned ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Process claims • Resolve insurance denials from onset to resolution • Credentialing providers • Collections • Achieve maximum reimbursement for services provided • Assist and oversee insurance audits • Collect all pertinent demographic information, insurance information, and medical information. • Answer and resolve all incoming calls and requests in a timely and accurate manner. • Communicate with supervisor and/or leads about potential patient concerns.
