An advanced degree in Psychology, HCI/HFE, HCDE, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 5 years of research and design work experience. Proven expertise in statistics and research analysis is essential, as well as excellent interpersonal skills.

In This Role Join a dynamic Security product team supporting UX research across a comprehensive suite of security solutions, with a particular focus on AI-powered security platforms. As a UX Researcher Specialist, you'll play a critical role in shaping user experiences across multiple integrated security products by conducting research that validates design patterns and ensures coherence across the entire ecosystem. This high-impact position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of cybersecurity and AI innovation, partnering closely with cross-functional teams including design, content design, technical writers, product managers, and engineers to deliver research insights that directly influence product roadmaps and drive meaningful improvements in how users interact with critical security tools. Responsibilities Collaborate with stakeholders to understand research needs and develop comprehensive research plans for your product area Partner with design, program management, customer experience, and data science teams to develop deep customer understanding that informs product roadmaps Design, execute, and analyze research studies using both qualitative (ethnography, interviews, usability testing) and quantitative (surveys, data analytics) methodologies throughout the product development cycle Communicate research findings clearly to all levels of the product team, explaining methodology, insights, and design recommendations effectively Build trusted partnerships with stakeholders to inform research roadmaps and validate design patterns across integrated security tooling Contribute to the formation of research culture across the team while maintaining research autonomy and demonstrating measurable stakeholder impact Qualifications Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Psychology, HCI/HFE, HCDE, or related field required Minimum 5+ years of research and design work experience with strong theoretical and practical knowledge of both qualitative (e.g., ethnography) and quantitative (e.g., data analytics) research methodologies Proven expertise in statistics and research analysis with demonstrated ability to help teams develop and drive progress on key metrics Experience creating comprehensive research plans and executing end-to-end research studies from scoping through reporting Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate with and persuade varied audiences, presenting results both orally and in written formats Strong capability to work autonomously while maintaining stakeholder alignment and demonstrating measurable impact Preferred Qualifications Experience in security and compliance industry strongly preferred Background or familiarity with AI-powered products and platforms Experience conducting research in enterprise IT or security contexts Demonstrated track record of influencing product roadmaps through research insights Experience with Copilot or AI assistant technologies Salary Range Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic based ranges for Washington state: $85,000 to $95,000 USD/annually. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
