5+ years franchise development experience with area/master franchise sales, proven lead generation and sales success, CRM proficiency, and strong communication skills.
The Franchise Sales Manager will lead the regional franchise development efforts overseeing the full lifecycle of regional franchise sales, from lead generation strategy to deal closure. This person will be responsible for sourcing, qualifying, and closing new Regional Franchisees across non-registration states initially, with an annual target of 10-12 closed regions. The ideal candidate has experience selling area development or master franchise concepts, can manage a structured pipeline process, and is comfortable designing and executing a paid-lead and organic-lead generation strategy within a defined budget. Base salary $100K with sliding commission schedule $5K to $10K per deal. Key Responsibilities: Franchise Sales Execution • Manage the entire sales funnel from inquiry to signed agreement, including qualification, discovery calls, financial review, territory selection, and FDD disclosure. Lead Generation Strategy & Management • Develop and manage a paid lead-generation plan (digital ads, portals, LinkedIn campaigns, broker relationships, discovery webinars). • Build relationships with franchise brokers and lead sources but maintain control of lead conversion to minimize fee leakage. Process Design & Optimization • Create playbooks and standardized scripts for discovery calls, follow-ups, and disclosure processes. Pipeline Reporting & Communication • Maintain weekly pipeline reporting for leadership and board review. Desired Qualifications: • 5+ years in franchise development, with direct experience selling area developer or regional/master franchises (not just single units). • Track record of closing 8-12+ franchise deals per year with deal values exceeding $50,000. • Demonstrated success in building and managing lead generation programs, ideally with budget authority. • Strong communication, presentation, and consultative sales skills. • Highly organized; proficient in CRM systems (Dynamics, Zoho, HubSpot, FranConnect, etc). • Familiarity with franchise brokers, portals, and digital ad strategies (Google, Meta, LinkedIn). • Comfortable operating in a lean, growth-stage environment with autonomy and accountability.
