Under the general direction of the Supervisor, Service Desk, the Information Technology Training and Enablement Specialist responsible for the design, development, implementation, and management of comprehensive information technology training programs that serve both the IT division and the broader organization. This role aligns training and initiatives to enable employees to adopt new and emerging technologies, identify skill gaps and targeted training solutions that enhance technical proficiency, user adoption of tools, and overall digital capability. This position cultivates and effectively utilizes current and emerging technologies, contributes to digital transformation efforts, and supports the organization's digital evolution. • * This position is eligible to work onsite or hybrid (9 or more days a month onsite) in accordance with our Telecommuting Policy. The salary range for this role is a good faith estimate, it is estimated based on what a successful candidate might be paid. All offers presented to candidates are carefully reviewed to ensure fair, equitable pay by offering competitive salaries that align with the individual's skills, education, experience, and training. What you'll do • Partners and Collaborates with IT Leadership and other BCBSKS internal teams to identify training needs and to establish long-term training strategy. • Organizes and coordinates all activities related to IT training programs. • Develops training curricula and/or recommends utilizing vendor programs to meet instructional goals and objectives. • Creates course content and materials that engage and encourage learner participation. • Facilitates instructor-led training (ILT) in person or via virtual platforms, ensuring engagement and knowledge retention. • Stays current with emerging technologies and trends. • Researches, selects and/or develops training aids, course content, training handbooks, multimedia visual aids, tutorials, etc. To encourage learner participation. • Establishes metrics to measure performance and success of learning/training programs. • Maintains repository of training documentation and guides • Maintains repository of training documentation and guides. • Coordinates or performs administrative functions necessary to deliver and document training programs, including, but not limited to, training venues, timing, and modality. • Develops and tracks annual training budget Knowledge/Skills/Abilities • Expertise in training and instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) with strong knowledge of business training techniques. • Experience collaborating with IT departments, understanding technical terminology, workflows, and supporting IT-related communication initiatives. • Proficient in Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, and common enterprise applications. • Skilled in translating complex technical concepts into clear, accessible learning content. • Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills for engaging diverse audiences. • Effective project and time management capabilities, with experience managing multiple priorities and organizational tasks. • Analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis to identify training needs and innovate solutions. • Collaborative approach with the ability to work cross-functionally across departments and represent training interests in committees or workgroups. • Committed to continuous professional development to enhance instructional and technical expertise.
