Job Description This role is responsible for converting health plan strategy into actionable initiatives that drive measurable business results. The Director leads enterprise‑wide, cross‑functional strategic programs, aligning enterprise strategy with P&L leaders, performance management, shared services, and delivery teams. Acting as a key connector between strategy and execution, this role ensures strong governance, value realization, and sustained performance outcomes. What You'll Do Translate enterprise and health plan strategies into executable strategic initiatives with defined outcomes, milestones, and success metrics. Partner with internal stakeholders to advance health plan business priorities, create market differentiation, and drive sustainable financial value. Establish and maintain effective program governance, monitoring, and oversight to ensure focus, execution discipline, and measurable results; recommend and implement adjustments as needed to achieve business objectives. Collaborate with key partners to develop short‑ and long‑term performance targets, forecasts, and projections, supported by robust performance monitoring and management practices. Ensure strategy execution is tightly aligned with financial performance, operating plans, and enterprise performance management frameworks. Lead and oversee complex, large‑scale strategic programs across multiple lines of business. Track program performance, risks, dependencies, and value realization; proactively course‑correct to ensure intended outcomes are delivered. Serve as a mentor and coach across the enterprise, building strategic capabilities and contributing to talent development and organizational success. Support enterprise transformation and major strategic initiatives by translating strategy into sequenced, actionable execution roadmaps. Oversee the stabilization and transition of strategic initiatives to operational teams upon successful implementation. Lead, develop, and retain a high‑performing team of strategic professionals. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree 10+ years of experience in healthcare or strategy consulting, strategic development, market or product development or financial analysis. Extensive experience leading and developing implementing complex business and/or contractual issues and serving as the principal liaison to business executives, internal and external, and other outside advisors Significant success and experience identifying new opportunities, creating products/programs/solutions and driving change. 5 years experience leading teams and/or directly managing staff In lieu of degree, 12+ years of experience in related field Bonus Points Experience in strategic program management and strategic process improvement strongly preferred Strong communication and change leadership skills Comfort operating in ambiguity, with the ability to balance long‑term strategic vision and near‑term execution priorities. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs.
