The Operations Data Analyst is part of the Customer Success and Operational Analytics team and is responsible for transforming customer interaction, experience, and operational data into actionable insights that support departmental and division-wide decision making. This role identifies, extracts, analyzes, and models data to inform strategy, forecasting needs, and process improvements. The analyst collaborates with subject matter experts and leaders to develop clear, business-focused visualizations and provide analytical storytelling that explains key patterns, trends, and implications. Success in this position requires analytical precision, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment. "This position is eligible to work onsite or hybrid (9 or more days a month onsite), or remote in accordance with our Telecommuting Policy. What you'll do Responsibilities • Data Collection & Management: Gather and maintain large datasets from various sources, ensuring accuracy and integrity. • Data Analysis: Perform detailed data analysis, including statistical and trend analysis, to identify patterns and insights that can drive business decisions. • Reporting: Develop and present comprehensive reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders. • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide analytical support for projects and initiatives. • Data Quality: Monitor and ensure the quality of data, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or issues. • Tool Utilization: Utilize data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Excel, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI) to manipulate and analyze data. • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in data handling and analysis. What you need Knowledge/Skills/Abilities • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Excel, Python, R). Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and present clear, actionable insights. • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in an understandable manner. • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting. • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with strong interpersonal skills and a proactive attitude. • Demonstrates analytical curiosity and a natural tendency to probe deeper into data, noticing patterns, outliers, and emerging themes that may not be immediately apparent. Education and Experience • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a similar discipline preferred. In lieu of degree, minimum of five years' experience as a data analyst required. • Experience using data analysis, visualization, or customer experience platforms such as Tableau, Tableau Prep, Power BI, Excel, Qualtrics, or cloud-based environments such as Azure preferred. • Experience working with operational, customer service, or business process data in a professional environment preferred. • Experience working with data in a healthcare-related environment, especially in a health-payer or health-insurance setting preferred.
