Job Overview The Merchant Operations Analyst supports the merchant organization through the troubleshooting of systems. The Analyst primary responsibility is to provide systems support for the Merchant Teams and also serves as liaison between Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s Inc. The individual must be able to understand the business and systems needs at a detailed level and recommend, evaluate and implement technology/business solutions as required. The position entails a great deal of business/system process analysis, project management, excel use and troubleshooting. Essential Functions Effectively analyze / troubleshoot issues and summarize complex findings in a clear and concise manner Implement business initiatives by analyzing business impact, feasibility, system constraints and business rules Pull data from various sources to develop reports and dashboards Assist in all phases of discovery work and systems rollouts including User Acceptance Testing Identify trends and opportunities to streamline processes and create workflow efficiencies Collaborate with teams to support and execute Macy Systems and Technology and Brand Strategy initiatives Manage assigned merchant systems, functions, and databases and Uphold data integrity Qualifications and Competencies Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels Ability to think creatively, strategically and technically Knowledge of MS Office computer programs are required Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs This job description is not all inclusive; additionally, Macy’s, Inc. reserves the right to amend this job description at any time.
