The Role The Director of Product Operations is a foundational leader responsible for establishing the operational discipline and strategic scale of the Product organization. This role acts as a crucial partner to the Chief Product Officer and Senior Product Leaders to translate strategic vision into predictable, high-impact execution. This person will own the operational frameworks, product insights, and cultural practices necessary to accelerate product discovery, innovation, and forward-looking strategies for Product capabilities. What You Will Do Strategic Enablement & Executive Partnership: The Director serves as a strategic operational partner to the CPO and Senior Product Leaders, ensuring the Product organization is aligned and focused on the highest-impact initiatives. Strategic Planning & Alignment: Own and orchestrate the strategic planning processes for quarterly and annual initiatives across the Product organization, ensuring tight alignment with strategic business objectives, and preparing executive insights to drive business reviews and high-stakes decision-making. Organizational Program Management: Oversee the Program Management of the Product organization's most complex, cross-functional strategic initiatives, to drive organizational impact and business growth. Cross-functional Product Lifecycle Operations: The Director defines operating rhythms and standards that promote predictability from ideation through delivery. This requires a close, collaborative partnership with Agile Operations to implement thoughtful solutions that increase visibility across the end-to-end Product Development Lifecycle. Process Governance & Enablement: Design, implement, and govern the operating rhythms, processes, and standards that streamline the work of Product Management and Product Designers, specifically owning the operationalization of Discovery & Research and setting standards for Roadmap Governance. Discovery & Research Ownership: Take ownership of operationalizing the work that takes place in the Discovery phase, building systems to efficiently capture, synthesize, and track the work that informs product strategy. Go-to-Market (GTM) Adaptability: Establish operational frameworks and metrics for efficient GTM execution and Post-launch Refinements, creating an efficient feedback loop from customer-facing teams (Marketing, Sales, Customer Success) to inform product development. Data-Informed Execution & Technology Architecture: The Director ensures the Product organization is fueled by reliable data and supported by a best-in-class technology stack. This is emphasized by a focus on continuous improvement which is informed by not only the Product organization and its leadership, but also the teams they partner with and stakeholders throughout the business. Visibility & Strategic Reporting: Establish comprehensive reporting systems for all work across the Product organization, creating a trusted source of truth (dashboards, operational metrics, product health KPIs) for leaders as well as stakeholders. Product Tech Stack Ownership: Own the strategy, selection, and governance of the Product Tech Stack, partnering closely with Data/Analytics teams to ensure data integrity and accessibility for robust product insights. Roadmap Governance & Tooling: Define the standards for roadmap process governance, selecting and instrumenting the necessary tooling to ensure reliable reporting on priorities and areas of organizational dependency. AI Integration & Experimentation: Cultivate the operational and cultural norms required to support the effective integration of AI strategy into product workflows and capabilities. Leadership, Culture & Operational Excellence: The Director plays an important role in building a high-performing team and fostering a culture that enables the growth and scale of the organization. This begins on the Product Operations team and extends outward for the Product org and their cross-functional partners throughout the business. People Leadership & Discipline Development: Lead, mentor, and grow the Product Operations team, while simultaneously defining and embedding the mission, vision, and operating model of the Product Operations discipline for the business. Culture of Innovation & Efficiency: Champion a culture of operational excellence, transparent information sharing, and analytical rigor, proactively identifying and removing systemic blockers to maximize Product's capacity for strategic, customer-focused work. Organizational Enablement: Promote a culture of proactive information-sharing across the Product organization and its cross-functional partners, facilitating the transparent communication of strategy, decisions, and outcomes. What You Need to Succeed 8+ years of experience in Product Operations, Business Operations, Product Management, Program Management or Strategy & Operations, with at least 3+ years in a senior leadership/people management role. Proven success building, or significantly scaling, a Product Operations function within a high-growth SaaS or technology company. Expert-level proficiency with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Aha!, etc.) and experience with a major Product Analytics platform. Demonstrated track record of leveraging data and analytics to influence strategic planning and operational investment. Compensation The salary range for this position is $144,000 - $216,000. You may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on your skills, experience, qualifications, and location, as well as applicable employment laws Location This is a permanent, full-time, fully remote position.
