Full Description

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students with mild to moderate learning needs in a contract role through the end of the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time, in-person position focuses on developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) that address each students unique learning goals and challenges. Location: Rochester, MI Duration: Immediate start through June 12, 2026 Setting: K-12 School Responsibilities: • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to students with mild to moderate special education needs • Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student progress and success • Provide direct instruction and support to students in compliance with state regulations and best practices • Maintain accurate records and reports related to student progress and IEP goals • Participate in team meetings and professional development activities Qualifications and Experience: • Valid Michigan Special Education (SPED) Certification with SPED endorsement required • Experience working with K-12 students who have mild to moderate special education needs preferred • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population Benefits and Perks: • Contract role with defined term • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact supporting student achievement • Collaborative work environment with dedicated educational staff Qualified candidates interested in making a positive difference in the educational lives of students are encouraged to apply.
