Contract Technical Recruiter – Engineering (Remote, 3–6 Month Contract) Location: Remote (US-based) Engagement Type: Contract (1099) Compensation: $50–90/hr Duration: 3 to 6 months Start Date: ASAP Blaze Talent is hiring a seasoned Contract Technical Recruiter to lead full-cycle engineering hiring for a confidential, high-growth client in the AI Infrastructure space. This is an RPO engagement where you’ll be deeply embedded with their technical leadership team, helping scale engineering functions that power next-generation AI systems. You’ll play a critical role in building out teams across distributed systems, platform engineering, hardware-accelerated compute, and AI-focused infrastructure—working directly with hiring managers to fill highly specialized technical roles. What You’ll Do Partner With Engineering Leadership • Work closely with engineering managers, Directors, and VPs to shape hiring strategy, understand technical requirements, and define ideal candidate profiles. • Attend intake meetings, calibrate on candidate quality, and advise on market realities for niche AI/infra talent. Own Full-Cycle Recruiting for Technical Roles • Lead recruiting for roles such as Backend Engineers, Systems/Infrastructure Engineers, Distributed Systems Engineers, SRE/DevOps talent, GPU/accelerated computing specialists, and other high-impact technical positions. • Manage sourcing, candidate outreach, screening, interview alignment, and offer support end-to-end. Develop & Drive Sourcing Pipelines • Build top-of-funnel pipelines through targeted sourcing across LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Stack Overflow, AI/infra communities, meetups, and technical networks. • Run sophisticated boolean searches and leverage pattern-matching to uncover hard-to-find talent. Run a Tight Recruiting Process • Own interview scheduling, feedback loops, candidate communication, and pipeline health reporting. • Provide consistent updates to internal stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment. • Maintain clean data hygiene across ATS tools and recruiting systems. Enhance Recruiting Operations • Identify bottlenecks or process improvements that elevate candidate experience and hiring velocity. • Bring a consultative approach that supports both the client and Blaze Talent’s high-touch delivery standards. About You • 5+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, ideally split across agency and in-house environments. • Demonstrated success hiring software engineers, systems engineers, SREs, distributed systems specialists, ML/AI infrastructure talent, or similarly technical roles. • Experience supporting high-growth or scaling engineering teams, especially within deep tech, cloud, AI, or infrastructure-heavy companies. • Strong sourcing capabilities with advanced boolean skills and fluency using tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, Juicebox, GitHub search, and ATS platforms (Ashby preferred). • Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving, high-complexity environment with multiple technical stakeholders. • Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills with both candidates and hiring teams. • Fully remote-ready with your own laptop and high-speed internet connection. • Available during US business hours (PST preferred).
