Join our dynamic engineering team as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, leading HVAC and plumbing system design for educational, transportation, government, and public works projects. This role combines hands-on engineering, project management, and team leadership, delivering high-quality designs from planning through construction while ensuring compliance with all building and energy codes. Key Responsibilities: • Lead mechanical engineering projects, including HVAC, plumbing, hydronic systems, DX refrigeration, air-handling, and fire protection design. • Conduct field investigations, load calculations, energy modeling, and code compliance reviews. • Produce, review, and manage mechanical/plumbing design documents (Revit, AutoCAD). • Supervise and mentor junior engineers and multidisciplinary project teams. • Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and code officials for project approvals. • Manage project budgets, schedules, and quality control; prepare invoices and reports. • Support business development, proposals, and client presentations as needed. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university. • Professional Engineer (PE) License OR EIT with PE eligibility within 6–12 months. • 12+ years of mechanical/plumbing engineering experience on large-scale projects. • Proficient in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office; experience with IESVE or Carrier HAP preferred. • Strong knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and energy codes; experience in load calculations and energy modeling. • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications: • Commissioning certifications (CxA, BCxP) and project management certifications (CAPM, PMP). • Experience with multiple project delivery methods (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, P3). • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior engineers.
