Head of Business Development US – AI Infrastructure Startup (Bay Area, CA) Are you a pure hunter with deep understanding of AI infrastructure, GPU compute, and cloud environments — and a passion for building relationships with AI founders in the most dynamic startup ecosystem in the world? We’re partnering with a well-funded, fast-growing AI infrastructure company operating at the intersection of compute, distributed systems, and system-level software. They are looking for a Head of Business Development US to lead market expansion, build strategic relationships with AI-native startups, and drive revenue growth for their next-generation AI compute platform. Founded by industry veterans (ex-Apple, Nvidia, Intel, Tesla…), the company is headquartered in San Francisco, with engineering teams distributed across Paris (France) and Bangalore (India). 👉 Important: To preserve client confidentiality, this job post remains intentionally high-level. Full details about the company, product, and mission will be shared with shortlisted candidates. 🚀 Your Mission As the Head of Business Development US, you will be the company’s first dedicated commercial presence in the United States. You will operate with full autonomy and act as a hands-on hunter, focusing on: 1. New Business Development (core priority) • Identify, engage, and win AI-first startups (Seed → Series C) and high-growth SMBs. • Build founder-level relationships across the US AI ecosystem (CTO, CEO, Head of AI). • Drive fast, high-impact deal cycles in a rapidly evolving market. 2. GTM Execution & Market Penetration • Execute a direct sales (RTM2)–driven go-to-market plan in the US. • Attend AI events, conferences, hackathons, and demo days to build pipeline. • Act as an ambassador for the brand across the Bay Area and beyond. 3. Market Intelligence & Competitive Awareness • Map the competitive landscape (GPU cloud providers, AI compute players). • Identify new revenue streams and inform product/leadership teams with field insights. • Spot emerging use cases and early trends in the AI startup ecosystem. 4. Technical Engagement • Understand AI training & inference workflows, GPU infrastructure, and cloud compute models. • Lead high-level technical conversations with founders and engineering leaders. • Collaborate closely with the product and engineering teams to align on customer needs. 5. Future Scaling (after ~18 months) • While your initial focus is 100% individual contribution, you may later help hire AEs, SEs, and partner-facing roles as the US team grows. 🎯 Profile Requirements You are a strong match if you have: • 5–10+ years in Business Development or Sales in AI infrastructure, GPU compute, cloud, or MLOps. • Proven experience selling to AI startups (a non-negotiable requirement). • A hunter mindset: pipeline creation, outbound, in-person networking, ecosystem presence. • Strong technical fluency in AI workloads (training/inference), cloud compute, GPUs. • Autonomous and entrepreneurial: you thrive in early-stage, high-impact environments. • Strong US network among AI founders, labs, VCs, incubators, and technical leaders. • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to navigate fast, founder-led deal cycles. • Bonus: Experience with GPU cloud providers (Coreweave, Lambda, Crusoe, RunPod, Together AI, etc.) or selling infra to AI/ML teams. 📍 Job Details Contract Type: Permanent Compensation: Competitive base salary + variable + equity package Location: San Francisco Bay Area Work Model: Hybrid (regular presence required at San Francisco HQ) Start Date: ASAP ⚙️ Recruitment Process • Interview with a Black Recruitment Associate • Interview with the CEO (N+1) • Interview with the Head of Sales EMEA • Interview with the Head of Growth • Interview with the COO Note: The order of interviews may vary depending on availability.
