Full Description

Description: • Designs and defines tracking and tagging requirements for ecommerce features, ensuring alignment with business goals and KPIs. • Partners with engineering to implement and manage the GA4 data layer, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and consistency. • Conducts validation, testing, and QA of GA4 and GTM event tracking to maintain confidence in data quality. • Develops documentation and tagging standards to ensure consistency across O’Reilly’s digital commerce ecosystem. • Translates product and business questions into data specifications, queries, and reporting requirements. • Provides insights into user behavior, funnel performance, and site interactions using GA4 and supplemental tools (e.g., FullStory). • Partners with business analytics teams to ensure ecommerce KPIs are tracked and reported accurately. • Serves as the go-to subject matter expert for GA4, tagging strategy, and product analytics within the ecommerce team. • Stays current on GA4 best practices, data privacy compliance, and emerging analytics technologies. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field. • Hands-on experience with GA4 event tracking, Google Tag Manager (GTM), and data layer design. • Strong understanding of ecommerce KPIs (conversion, funnel metrics, retention, etc.) and how to measure them. • Proficiency with SQL, BigQuery, or other query languages to analyze large datasets. • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with product managers, engineers, and analytics partners. • Detail-oriented with proven ability to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
