About the role: We are seeking a Senior Production Manager to lead large-scale federal programs focused on early childhood education and family engagement. This leadership role combines strategic planning, team management, and oversight of multilingual content development to ensure information resources are accurate, accessible, and culturally responsive. The Manager will direct content strategy and production workflows; oversee translation, editorial, and community engagement activities; and guide the evolution of online platforms that support collaboration among program partners nationwide. This is a full-time position contingent on contract award by our client, with a defined performance period of one year with four one-year option periods. Compensation: The salary range for this role is $120,000 – $130,000. In the spirit of transparency, most offers tend to land near the midpoint of the range. Responsibilities: Provide strategic direction for day-to-day and long-term content development and production operations across web, mobile, and multimedia platforms. Serve as a subject matter expert in early childhood education, family engagement, and community support to guide content priorities, messaging, and decision-making. Develop and implement editorial strategies, production workflows, and quality-assurance processes that support program goals. Manage staff and subcontractors, including assigning work, reviewing outputs, and providing coaching, training, and performance feedback. Build a high-performing team culture that emphasizes collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Oversee vendor or partner relationships related to content production, translation, accessibility, or community engagement. Lead the creation, editing, translation (English–Spanish), and publishing of high-quality content, ensuring accuracy, clarity, cultural relevance, and alignment with federal and organizational standards. Establish, maintain, and enforce editorial, brand, and accessibility standards across all communications and public-facing materials. Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of online communities and virtual environments that support collaboration, knowledge sharing, and user engagement among diverse stakeholders nationwide. Use analytics, user feedback, and qualitative/quantitative data to evaluate and improve communication strategies and content performance. Lead project management functions, including developing process flows, creating schedules, estimating staffing needs, managing task tracking systems, and producing status reports and deliverables. Identify opportunities to improve workflows and operational efficiency, exercising sound judgment to recommend and implement solutions. Ensure timely delivery of complex, high-quality products in collaboration with federal clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. Serve as a mentor and resource for emerging team members, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment across all content outputs. Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams to support seamless coordination and successful project outcomes. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned and aligned with the role’s expertise. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Education, Early Childhood Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 7+ years of professional experience in content development, project coordination, or production support, including at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory capacity. Proven track record in managing content development workflows for digital and multimedia products in deadline-driven environments. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (oral and written), with demonstrated expertise translating and adapting professional/educational content. Strong knowledge of editorial best practices, digital communications, and knowledge management systems. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, mentor staff, and improve processes. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience working across diverse teams and stakeholders. Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance. Nice to Have Skills and Experience: Experience supporting federal education or health programs Familiarity with web content management systems, HTML, and digital publishing tools. Knowledge of communications analytics and strategies for measuring engagement. Ability to apply cultural and linguistic insights to strengthen outreach, accessibility, and user experience.
