You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s cloud strategy, designing and evaluating implementation options that balance performance, cost, complexity, and compliance. This role involves close collaboration with development teams, DevOps engineers, and customer stakeholders to ensure that cloud solutions are both technically sound and mission-aligned. You will bring deep technical expertise and a pragmatic approach to solving complex migration challenges. Acting as a trusted advisor, you’ll foster confidence, build alignment, and raise overall cloud fluency across the enterprise. Responsibilities will include: • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph. Candidates without a current clearance will not be considered. • Design and evaluate multiple AWS migration strategies for legacy and VM-based workloads. • Develop architecture diagrams, migration plans, and reference implementations to support adoption. • Assess tradeoffs between complexity, cost, scalability, and compliance to recommend optimal approaches. • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate AWS solutions with existing CI/CD and deployment pipelines. • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to teams implementing AWS infrastructure. • Engage directly with customers and leadership to validate designs, communicate risks, and maintain trust. • Document and share best practices to strengthen cloud adoption across the organization. Requirements • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph. • Experience with AWS architecture, services, and security/compliance frameworks, particularly within C2S/C2E or HCI/WandS. • Knowledge of networking, identity management, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.). • Experience migrating workloads from on-premises or VM environments to AWS. • Familiarity with Kubernetes, ECS, and containerized workload orchestration. • Experience with DevOps pipelines, CI/CD tools, and monitoring stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, etc.). • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of building trust as an external expert. • Twelve (12) years with a Bachelor’s or four (4) additional years without the degree. • Don't quite meet these requirements? We hope to say that many times about you. Salary Range We estimate you'll earn between $200,000 and $300,000 annually, including our flex income, depending upon your annual work hours.
