IMPORTANT TO NOTE: This job post is for a full-time, remote contractor role. It is focused on candidates from LATAM and other nearshore locations who can commit to working a minimum of 6 hours during normal business hours overlapping with the Central Time zone. WHO YOU ARE Frontend Developer Consultant You’re an experienced Frontend developer looking for engaging, enjoyable work. You’d love to level up your skills working in different environments and get excited about seeing your projects in the real world. You like problem-solving and having a team with whom you can brainstorm simple solutions to complex problems. You want the freedom to work where you want, when you want, and with the projects you enjoy most. In your career so far, you’ve established: 5+ years of professional experience developing single-page applications Expertise with JS-based and hybrid mobile application development approaches like React Native A solid background in Modern Front End Development, including CSS, semantic HTML, JS frameworks, metaframeworks, and component libraries. Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills Experience with state management patterns and libraries Strong communication and interpersonal skills Familiarity with AI development tools A solid understanding of Computer Science (CS degree or equivalent knowledge) If that sounds like you, read on. WHAT YOU’LL DO AT BITOVI You’ll get to work on interesting projects in a culture that values quality over quantity and collaboration over cowboy coding. You’ll have time each week for a one-on-one with your team lead, daily standups and weekly scrum-based meetings, and time to work on presentations, articles, or other passion projects. The bulk of your day will be spent on development for clients, and projects you might work on include: Feature development for software applications Building Design System and Web Component libraries Establishing AI coding best practices Upgrading and building Angular and React codebases Swiftly building proof of concepts Metaframeworks and headless CMS' Monorepos and Micro Frontend Architecture Improving DevX Enhancing code quality with Unit and E2E tests Implementing Modern Tooling like NX and AI Giving React, Angular, and TypeScript Training Performing Codebase Audits & Resolving Performance Issues Coaching client developers on industry best practices Consult. You’ll meet with clients regularly to learn about their needs and update them on the progress of their projects. Travel. Our development team travels to meet with our clients and internal teams in person. Travel can range from 1-2 times per year to 3-5 days every 3-4 months, and we’ll always be working with your schedule. Teach. You’ll have protected time off consulting to participate in internal team meetings, give and attend trainings, speak at conferences and meetups, create and maintain open source projects, and create various kinds of content in your area of expertise, with Bitovi’s full support. We currently provide 4 hours a month of dedicated AI enablement training and research.
