Full Description

Introduction The Product Owner – Data (Electric Data Management) is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering enterprise electric data products and ingestion pipelines that support grid operations, regulatory reporting, reliability analytics, asset management, and customer operations. This role owns the end-to-end lifecycle of electric data—from ingestion (AMI, SCADA, OMS, GIS, CIS) to governed, reusable data products used across analytics, regulatory, and operational functions. Responsibilities • Define and manage Electric Data Management (EDM) roadmap and strategy. • Own data ingestion framework for AMI, SCADA, OMS, GIS, CIS, and DER systems. • Establish SLAs for data latency, availability, and quality. • Define reusable, certified data products (Outage, Reliability, Meter Consumption, DER, Asset Health). • Translate regulatory requirements (NERC, FERC, State PUC) into data definitions and audit-ready datasets. • Own and prioritize EDM backlog; write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria. • Implement data validation, reconciliation, and quality monitoring processes. • Partner with Electric Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Asset Management, and IT teams. Requirements Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field. • 6–10 years experience in Data Product Management or Electric Utility domain. • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT architecture and data modeling. • Experience with AMI interval data, outage data, and reliability metrics. • Agile / SAFe experience. Preferred Qualifications • Experience supporting NERC audits. • AMI or Grid Modernization program exposure. • Knowledge of SAIDI / SAIFI calculations. • SAFe Product Owner certification.
