Full Description

Summary We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our Electrostatics R&D team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and prototyping innovative mechanical systems and components for new electrostatic finishing products. You will play a key role in transforming concepts into manufacturable and commercially viable solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, and manufacturing. Essential Functions • Design and develop complex mechanical systems and components, ensuring compliance with product specifications and NPD processes. • Create and manage detailed engineering project requirements, schedules, work plans, and technical documentation. • Participate in stage gate reviews, design reviews, and project planning meetings, providing critical input and support to the project team. • Develop and document advanced product testing methods, overseeing testing activities to evaluate product performance and reliability. • Manage cost estimates, prototype procurement, and initial testing programs, including interaction with vendors and suppliers. • Support initial product start-up at manufacturing facilities, addressing quality issues and vendor performance. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on alternative materials and manufacturing processes to optimize product design. • Provide technical support and training to internal personnel and contribute to successful product introductions. • Troubleshoot and resolve quality issues in manufacturing operations, ensuring timely solutions. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or related field. • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in mechanical design or product development. • Proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks. • Advanced knowledge of fluid mechanics, materials science, and electro-mechanical interactions. • Strong skills in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Project. • Hands-on mechanical aptitude with experience using advanced tools and lab instruments. • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. • Willingness to travel occasionally, including international travel if required.
