About this role: The Manager, Crypto Accounting is part of the Finance team and reports to our Controller. As Manager, Crypto Accounting, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with internal controls and US GAAP standards. You will collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Treasury, and Compliance to support timely month-end close activities, audits, and financial reporting initiatives. Core Responsibilities: Own and execute the month-end close process for crypto activities, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of deliverables. Support new product launches and commercial initiatives, providing accounting guidance, ensuring system and process readiness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance automation, data integrity, and reporting capabilities. Identify and implement process improvements, advancing scalability, efficiency, and automation for all crypto activities. Maintain and update all month-end policy and procedures. Support the external audit and play a lead role in the Company’s financial statement audit over crypto activities. Lead, mentor, and develop the team, fostering accountability, growth, and a culture of operational excellence. Support ad hoc financial information requests and other special projects. Preferred Skills/Experience: BA/BS in Accounting, CPA preferred, Big 4 Preferred Experience in Big 4 public accounting or fintech/crypto industries is a plus 5-8 years of progressive experience, preferably with corporate accounting experience Minimum 2 years of experience in people management within an accounting function Experience with high-growth early stage companies is highly desired Proven ability to work in a remote environment and complete tasks independently Demonstrated experience streamlining processes and accelerating close timelines Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Prior experience with Netsuite and ERP system implementations is preferred Salary: The starting pay range for this role is between USD $145,000 to $162,000 for all U.S. remote locations. The actual base pay will vary, and is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skill sets, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change.
