The Billing Analyst is responsible for managing and executing timely, accurate billing in accordance with company policies and customer contracts. This role serves as the primary point of contact for billing inquiries and will play a key role in reducing backlog, improving process efficiency, and ensuring the integrity of billing operations. The ideal candidate brings strong operational focus, attention to detail, and comfort navigating complex systems and billing models—including SaaS, transactional, time & materials (T&M), and tiered revenue. This position requires close collaboration with Finance, Sales, Customer Success, IT, and Legal, and offers hands-on exposure to enterprise billing systems such as BillingPlatform and Intacct. What You'll Do: Own end-to-end billing operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of monthly invoices across multiple billing models. Manage and respond to billing inquiries via the shared inbox, reducing response time and backlog. Research and resolve complex billing discrepancies by reconciling customer data, contracts, and internal records. Process contract-driven changes such as adjustments, credits, rebills, and cancellations. Review contracts and order forms to translate terms into appropriate billing actions. Collaborate cross-functionally to support the onboarding and billing of new customer agreements. Monitor and maintain data integrity within billing systems; escalate systemic issues as needed. Identify and implement opportunities for process automation and workflow optimization. Document billing processes, SOPs, and changes to maintain accurate operational guides. Support financial reporting, monthly close, internal audits, and ad hoc data analysis as required. Participate in cross-functional meetings to communicate billing trends, risks, and improvement ideas. What You'll Bring: 4–5 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, revenue operations, or a related operational finance role. Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume workloads with speed and accuracy. Proficiency with enterprise billing or ERP systems; experience with BillingPlatform and/or Intacct strongly preferred. Advanced Excel skills and strong data reconciliation capabilities. Strong attention to detail, with a track record of identifying and resolving discrepancies. Proven ability to read and operationalize contract terms with minimal oversight. Clear, professional communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally. Process-oriented mindset and ability to document workflows effectively. The expected base salary range for this position is $63,000 - $72,000 annually. Compensation may vary depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.
