Full Description

This position offers an opportunity to support students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) across Carbon and Lehigh counties in Pennsylvania. The role is contract-based through the current school year, with an anticipated end date in June 2026 and hours ranging from 32.5 to 35 per week. Responsibilities include providing individualized or small group support to students with autism in both specialized and inclusive classroom settings. You will implement behavior intervention plans under the guidance of teachers or behavior specialists, collect data on student progress, assist with daily routines and transitions, and apply evidence-based interventions such as ABA, PECS, visual schedules, and social stories. Maintaining a safe and structured learning environment and collaborating closely with educational and therapeutic teams is essential. Some personal care support, including toileting and feeding, may be required. Preferred candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, ABA, Social Behavior, or a relevant field; however, those with an associate’s degree plus at least one year (preferably three years) of experience working with students with autism or behavioral needs will also be considered. A strong understanding of autism and behavioral strategies, the ability to remain calm during challenging situations, and basic computer skills are necessary. Candidates must be reliable, team-focused, and uphold professional boundaries. Locations include various sites in Carbon and Lehigh counties, such as specialized autism support programs and elementary schools. If you have a passion for making a difference in the lives of students with ASD and meet the qualifications outlined, submit your application today along with a completed supervisor reference check, resume highlighting relevant experience, and a brief candidate summary. This role prioritizes early submissions and is subject to availability based on client needs.
