Residency All applicants must currently reside in the United States Overview BigBear.ai is seeking a Sr. Application Developer to support the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). You will be joining our amazing BigBear.ai team to provide development for legacy and existing systems whether it’s building out new features, enhancements, or bug fixes and adding features that will allow our successor system to integrate with older legacy systems so that both systems can co-exist. This position will be based out of Washington, D.C. and will require hybrid SCIF support. What you will do As a Senior-Level Application Developer, you will serve as the Foundational Services SME and provide training/support to two mid-level developers. Some of your duties will require you to independently manage multiple complex work assignments with minimal oversight and review. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable. Applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others. What you need to have TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph. Master’s degree and 8+ years of experience with application or software development with least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years or Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience with application or software development as a substitute to a Master’s degree. Tech Stack: TypeScript, Angular, Node, NestJS, Express Servers, Jest, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, ElasticSearch, GitLab CI Pipelines, Docker, OpenShift. Experience:classification rollup and NTK handling programmatically; cross-domain transfer processes (high to low); reviewing server logs and consoles to triage and debug onsite. This is foundational services role that services all EPD applications.
