Position Summary Big Boy Restaurant Group is seeking a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves Marketing Manager to lead and execute marketing initiatives across our restaurant brands. This is a highly execution-focused role for a working manager who is equally comfortable developing strategy and personally doing the work to bring campaigns to life. The Marketing Manager will oversee a small internal support team and manage multiple third-party vendors (digital, creative, media, print, etc.), while remaining directly involved in day-to-day marketing execution. This role partners closely with Operations, Finance, and Executive Leadership to support sales growth, brand consistency, and local market performance across our restaurant portfolio. Key Responsibilities Hands-On Marketing Execution • Personally develop, execute, and manage marketing campaigns across digital, in-store, and local market channels • Create and deploy promotional calendars aligned with operational priorities and sales objectives • Write, edit, and approve marketing content including emails, social posts, promotional signage, and campaign messaging • Support restaurant-level marketing initiatives including grand openings, limited-time offers, seasonal promotions, and community partnerships Team & Vendor Management • Lead and support a small internal marketing support staff, providing direction, prioritization, and hands-on coaching • Manage third-party vendors including digital marketing agencies, designers, printers, media buyers, and promotional partners • Ensure vendors deliver on scope, timelines, brand standards, and budget expectations • Act as the central point of accountability for all marketing deliverables Digital & Brand Marketing • Oversee digital marketing efforts including social media, email marketing, paid digital campaigns, and website content • Monitor campaign performance, engagement metrics, and ROI; adjust tactics as needed • Ensure brand consistency across all platforms, materials, and restaurant locations • Collaborate with operations to ensure marketing initiatives are operationally executable at the restaurant level Cross-Functional Collaboration • Partner with Operations leadership to align marketing initiatives with in-store execution • Coordinate with Finance on budgeting, vendor spend, and campaign cost controls • Work closely with executive leadership on brand strategy, priorities, and performance reporting • Support franchise or multi-unit initiatives as applicable Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) • 5+ years of marketing experience, preferably in restaurant, hospitality, retail, or multi-unit environments • Proven experience as a hands-on marketing manager • Experience managing small teams and external vendors simultaneously • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operationally driven environment Preferred Experience • Restaurant or franchise marketing experience • Local store marketing (LSM) or field marketing experience • Experience supporting both corporate and restaurant-level stakeholders • Familiarity with budget management and vendor contract oversight Work Environment • Corporate headquarters role based in Southfield, Michigan • In-office collaboration with flexibility as needed • Occasional local travel to restaurant locations or events Job Type: Full-time Benefits: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Work Location: In person
