Description POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for supervising, coordinating and organizing work day activities for a multiple of production employees as well as process training of new employees. Involves overseeing the complete manufacturing process to produce product as efficient as possible while maintaining the company procedures and policies. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and implement logistics strategies for domestic, international, and intercompany shipments. Supervise and coordinate internal material movements across facilities and warehouses. Negotiate and manage freight and 3PL contracts to ensure cost-effective, reliable service. Review and approve freight invoices, ensuring accuracy and budget compliance. Identify and implement freight cost savings through route optimization and consolidation. Oversee warehouse and distribution operations to ensure efficiency and safety. Ensure compliance with customs, trade, and transportation regulations. Lead ESG reporting for logistics emissions, sustainability, and waste reduction. Monitor logistics KPIs and drive continuous improvement in cost, delivery, and performance. Lead, train, and develop logistics and warehouse staff to achieve departmental goals. Coordinate daily shipment scheduling and proactively resolve delivery or carrier issues. Maintain accurate freight, inventory, and shipment data within ERP and TMS systems. Collaborate with Procurement and Finance on freight budgeting, accruals, and cost tracking. Conduct quarterly performance reviews with carriers and 3PLs to assess service and compliance. Support S&OP and demand planning activities by aligning logistics capacity with forecasted needs. Monitor and report customs clearance performance and trade documentation accuracy. Drive cross-functional collaboration between operations, sales, and supply chain teams to support service and delivery goals. Requirements WORK ENVIRONMENT The Logistics Manager will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where attention to detail, safety, and efficiency are critical. The role requires spending significant time on the production floor, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. The environment may involve exposure to machinery, noise, temperature variations, and other typical factory conditions. Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required, and the position may involve standing for extended periods, walking frequently throughout the facility, and occasional lifting of moderate weight. Collaboration with production staff, quality control, maintenance, and management teams is essential to maintain smooth operations and meet production goals. REQUIREMENTS Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience. Background in managing personnel is essential. Experience in planning and scheduling work priorities, materials, and available man hours. Able to advise on service and repair to the equipment, building and grounds as required and work with outside vendors for scheduling and supervising of service and repair. Able to operate material handling equipment (forklift, crane). Strong "hands-on" mechanical aptitude. Proven track record for excellent project management. Valid drivers license and/or record that conforms to company requirements. Must be US citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States of America, and able to travel outside the US when needed.
