Role Overview: As a Senior Firmware Engineer at Bevi, you will play a critical role in developing and enhancing the embedded software that powers our smart water machines. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize firmware solutions that ensure reliability, performance, and scalability of our IoT devices. What You'll Do: - You will design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for Bevi’s smart water machines. - You will collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate firmware with new and existing hardware platforms. - You will troubleshoot and debug complex firmware issues to improve system stability and performance. - You will participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for firmware development. - You will optimize firmware for low power consumption and efficient resource management. - You will work closely with the product team to translate requirements into technical solutions. - You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing. - You will stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation. What You Bring: - 5+ years of experience in embedded firmware development, preferably in IoT or consumer electronics. - Proficiency in C/C++ programming and experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS). - Strong understanding of hardware interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, and ADC. - Experience with debugging tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG debuggers. - Familiarity with wireless communication protocols such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or Zigbee. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with cloud-connected IoT devices and OTA firmware updates. - Knowledge of security best practices for embedded systems. - Background in product development lifecycle and Agile methodologies. - Experience with scripting languages such as Python for automation and testing.
