Role Overview: As a Senior Firmware Engineer at Bevi, you will play a critical role in developing and optimizing the embedded software that powers our smart water machines. Your expertise will drive innovation in IoT device functionality, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and seamless user experiences. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to bring new features from concept to production. What You'll Do: - You will design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for Bevi’s IoT-enabled beverage machines. - You will collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate sensors, actuators, and communication modules. - You will optimize firmware for performance, power consumption, and reliability. - You will troubleshoot and debug complex firmware issues in both development and production environments. - You will participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for firmware development. - You will work with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical solutions. - You will mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. - You will stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to keep Bevi’s products at the forefront. What You Bring: - 5+ years of experience in embedded firmware development, preferably in IoT or consumer electronics. - Proficiency in C/C++ programming and embedded systems architecture. - Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and low-level hardware interfaces. - Strong debugging skills using tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG debuggers. - Familiarity with wireless communication protocols like BLE, Wi-Fi, or Zigbee. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with cloud-connected IoT devices and OTA firmware updates. - Knowledge of security best practices for embedded systems. - Background in product lifecycle management and agile development methodologies. - Passion for sustainability and environmental impact initiatives.
