Role Overview: As a Senior Firmware Engineer at Bevi, you will play a critical role in developing and optimizing the embedded software that powers our smart water machines. Your expertise will drive the innovation and reliability of our IoT devices, ensuring seamless user experiences and robust performance in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. What You'll Do: - You will design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for Bevi’s IoT-enabled beverage machines. - You will collaborate closely with hardware engineers, product managers, and software teams to integrate firmware with cloud services and user interfaces. - You will troubleshoot and resolve complex firmware issues to enhance device stability and performance. - You will implement and optimize communication protocols such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and MQTT. - You will contribute to the architecture and design of scalable, secure, and efficient firmware systems. - You will participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration to ensure high-quality software delivery. - You will mentor junior engineers and share best practices within the team. - You will stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation. What You Bring: - 5+ years of experience in embedded firmware development, preferably in IoT or consumer electronics. - Proficiency in C/C++ programming and real-time operating systems (RTOS). - Strong understanding of hardware interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, and ADC. - Experience with wireless communication protocols including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or Zigbee. - Familiarity with debugging tools, version control systems, and firmware testing methodologies. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with cloud integration and IoT platforms. - Knowledge of security best practices for embedded systems. - Background in product development lifecycle and agile methodologies. - Passion for sustainability and environmental impact initiatives.
