Working with Christian publishers, Bethany Press provides solutions for book production, printing, binding, and warehousing. We produce millions of life-changing books, and we are looking for self-managed, self-motivated, creators who want to be a part of this accelerating business. Hours: 6:00am - 6:00pm Thursday, Friday, Saturday with possible over time Position Responsibilities: • Operate web press to routinely meet or exceed scheduled volume • Operate the press to consistently produce the highest quality printed product • Keep waste and spoilage within acceptable levels • Communicate as necessary to facilitate the goals of the team • Manage time and duties according to departmental procedures • Lead the assigned helpers in meeting acceptable levels of quality and productivity • Follow safety procedures and practices • Ensure compliance with all OSHA requirements for your work area Environmental Conditions: • Exposed to noise that requires use of hearing protection. • Exposed to potential mechanical hazards, which require proper safety procedures. • Exposed to volatile organic compounds and other chemicals used in the printing process, which require use of personal protective equipment. Ability to work closely with others as a team leader Demonstrates at thorough technical application of press operation and theory Able to do basic math and to comprehend technical information Highly developed problem-solving skills and machine aptitude Ability to stand for entire production shift (12 hours). Ability to crouch, crawl, lift, pull, reach and endure repetitive motions. Ability to pass pre-employment drug testing & physical The estimated starting salary pay range for this role is $22.50 - $27.50 per hour. This good faith estimate is base upon BPI’s typical starting pay range for this role. Actual pay range depends on many factors including each individual employee’s qualifications and market conditions and is subject to change. • Full-time benefit-eligible employment begins at a minimum of 30 hours per week: • Health, dental, and vision, including applicable HSA • Employer Contribution to HSA for eligible Health Plans • Life insurance (AD&D) • Long-term disability • Voluntary life and short-term disability • Accrued vacation pay • Holiday pay and earned sick & safety leave.
