As a Citrix systems engineer, you’ll design, support, and evolve Best Buy’s Windows and virtual server infrastructure. Partnering with the Windows Tech Lead, you’ll apply automation, infrastructure as code, and DevOps best practices to enhance system reliability and scalability. Your work will directly strengthen the performance of core IT services, empowering teams and enriching customer experiences across Best Buy Canada. What you’ll do as a Citrix systems engineer: • Provide Citrix and virtualization expertise throughout project lifecycles, including solution documentation and implementation. • Serve as SME across Citrix, Windows, and Cloud technologies—collaborating with internal and external teams to build secure, scalable environments. • Contribute to strategic infrastructure planning and process improvements. • Deliver L3 support with emphasis on automation, IaC, deployment, orchestration, and monitoring. • Maintain infrastructure documentation to support knowledge sharing and continuity. • Participate in sprint planning and resolve technical blockers using deep domain expertise. • Manage golden image creation, patching, and optimization for virtual desktops. • Advise technical and non-technical teams on best practices in EUC and automation. • Lead root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes for infrastructure issues. • Strengthen infrastructure security through patching and vulnerability remediation.
