3+ years supply chain and inventory management experience in chemical industry, proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP knowledge preferred, detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Job purpose Berryman Chemical is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Supply Chain Specialist to manage and optimize our supply chain operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating procurement, inventory management, logistics, and supplier relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of raw materials and finished product. Monitors high volume inventory transactions daily to ensure customer product availability. Chemical experience is a must. Duties and responsibilities • Inventory Management • Maintains inventory levels at multiple warehouses • Forecasts inventory needed • Assists with quarterly packaged warehouse physical count • Communicates with warehouse regarding gauges, paperwork, and discrepancies between book and physical inventories • Researches all inventory inconsistencies and makes recommendations for adjustments in inventory system • Inventory Processes • Receiving inbound inventory into inventory system at multiple warehouses • Pre-invoice outbound orders and send to accounting for invoicing • Update system with batches, inbound/outbound orders and transfers • Create and receipt batches for outbound orders • Month End • Run reports for open purchase orders, open batches, and inventory reconciliation report to see what transactions need to be completed for the month. • Conducts month-end inventory reconciliation • Coordinate with accounting for month end and start of next month’s inventory allocation • Logistics • Plan and oversee logistics and transportation activities, optimizing routs and costs. Qualifications • Bachelors degree preferred; industry experience desired • Technical knowledge: Microsoft Office a must • ERP System: Chempax or NetSuite software knowledge preferred • Supply Chain/Inventory experience 3 + Years • Skill set needed: Proficient in math, Problem solver, ability to multi-task, detail oriented with accuracy, effective communicator Working conditions This position is an on-site position, located in The Woodlands, TX.
