Role Overview: As a Journeyman Software Developer at Arcticom, LLC, you will play a key role in developing and supporting complex software applications for the MLS2 project. This remote position offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful technology initiatives while collaborating with a diverse team of professionals. What You'll Do: - You will design, develop, and maintain software applications that meet project requirements and quality standards. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze user needs and translate them into technical specifications. - You will troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing software to enhance performance and reliability. - You will participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards. - You will document software functionality and provide technical support to end-users and stakeholders. - You will stay current with emerging technologies and integrate relevant advancements into development processes. - You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to streamline development workflows. What You Bring: - You have 3+ years of professional experience in software development, preferably in complex application environments. - You possess strong programming skills in languages such as Java, C#, or Python. - You have experience with software development methodologies including Agile and Scrum. - You are proficient in using version control systems like Git. - You have solid problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working on government or defense-related software projects. - Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. - Knowledge of database management and SQL. - Prior experience with DevOps tools and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
