Maintenance Technician (Non-Exempt)Location: Minnetonka, MN Schedule: Full-Time | Non-Exempt Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of related experience Education: High School Diploma or equivalentAbout the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to provide technical support for equipment used in our manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for repairing, maintaining, and modifying production equipment to ensure optimal uptime and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, the ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics, and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving.Key Responsibilities • Diagnose and repair equipment issues on manufacturing assembly lines in a timely manner. • Perform preventative maintenance and maintain accurate documentation of all repairs, upgrades, and parts used in the MP2 maintenance database. • Maintain back-up equipment and spare parts inventory to meet manufacturing needs. • Collaborate with industrial, manufacturing, and quality engineers on equipment operation and improvement projects. • Provide constructive feedback and recommendations to equipment development engineers to improve uptime and performance. • Assist in constructing and setting up worktables and utilities for new or modified assembly lines. • Modify existing assembly lines and workstations as needed to support production demands. • Plan and organize project assignments effectively to meet deadlines and operational goals. • Apply creativity, independent judgment, and technical expertise to solve complex equipment and process challenges. • Ensure compliance with all quality and regulatory standards in a quality system environment. Qualifications • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. • Experience: Minimum 2 years of related experience in maintenance, equipment repair, or a manufacturing support role. • Strong knowledge of technical systems, mechanical/electrical concepts, and production equipment fundamentals. • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings. • Skilled in troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance practices. • Excellent problem-solving abilities, initiative, and attention to detail. • Capable of working independently and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Preferred Attributes • Hands-on experience with precision tools, test equipment, and maintenance software systems (e.g., MP2). • Familiarity with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles. • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
