About Bento Bento is on a mission to improve healthcare outcomes and quality of life for low income community members. Over half of all adults in the US have a nutrition related chronic disease such as diabetes, hypertension or heart disease which disproportionately impacts low income community members. Disease management programs, food banks and government assistance programs targeting these vulnerable populations have had some positive effects but health outcomes remain poor. Bento is taking a new approach to engage low income patients and their families to achieve major improvements in their health and wellbeing in a cost effective manner by integrating: • Personalized nutrition: to serve as both ‘food-as-medicine’ and ‘food-as-engagement’ • Health coaching: to achieve member behavioral change and compliance with healthcare action plan • Care navigation: to close critical healthcare care gaps Bento uses nutritious groceries curated by a team of Registered Dietitians and delivered by grocery stores in the community as a catalyst to establish trust and engagement with the healthcare system. As a covered Medicaid/Medicare service, Bento is rapidly expanding access to millions of eligible at-risk patients through partnerships with state and county health plans and private health insurers. About The Role The Account Manager will play a lead role in solidifying Bento’s presence in the state of New York. They will be responsible for nurturing relationships with Social Care Networks (SCN) where Bento has an existing contract and they will be responsible for earning new contracts with Social Care Networks. Additionally, the Account Manager will be responsible for building and nurturing a pipeline of member referring organizations. The Account Manager will report to the VP, Marketing & Member Operations and they must be based in the state of New York with the ability to travel regularly throughout the entire state. Role Responsibilities • Serve as the primary point of contact for all existing and new SCNs in the state of NY • Attend regular convenings and meetings with existing SCNs then ensure entire Bento team is apprised of changes and updates • Actively pursue partnerships with SCNs not already contracted • Establish a network of high quality B2B referral channels to achieve member enrollment goals, with a focus on FQHCs, healthcare providers, and community based organizations • Identify, contact and qualify partner leads through outbound calling, email and social media (eg. linkedin), presence at community events and more • Utilize CRM tools and processes needed to effectively manage a pipeline of partners from unqualified lead to partner • Monitor and evaluate partners based on referral capacity potential and performance • Identify opportunities for improved communication and data sharing with partner organizations that drive additional value and collaborate with Bento teams for product/process implementation • Align with Member Engagement Coordinator(s) to ensure they are at full capacity of their Screening and Navigating availability • Establish and communicate weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting against individual and company OKRs • Collaborate with Bento team leads (Product, Marketing, Member Ops) to provide real-time market insights and feedback to support ongoing iteration of the Bento service offering and overall value proposition Requirements • 5+ years of experience in Partnership Development, Account Management or B2B Sales within a rapidly growing organization • Excellent relationship & partnership skills with the ability to create deep meaningful relationships both in person + remotely with key partners • Must be based in the state of New York with the ability to travel regularly throughout the entire state • Knowledge of the Medicaid space with an understanding of 1115 waivers • Experience building and nurturing partnerships in the healthcare space • Understanding of the landscape of community and healthcare organizations that serve a Medicaid population • Polished external presentation, training and client-facing skills • Comfortable rolling up your sleeves and working in the community and also comfortable presenting to business and community leaders • Polished communication and written skills and fluency with CRM tools • Ability to connect company strategy to front line implementation in the field • Comfort being accountable to partnership performance goals • Results-oriented and aren’t afraid to step out of your comfort zone to achieve desired results • Passionate about using food to engage low income community members to improve their health and overall quality of life • Comfortable working with remote first / distributed teams • Excited about the fast pace of rapidly scaling companies Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay with exceptional benefits including: • Company equity • Great health insurance for you (fully company paid) and your family • Dental and Vision insurance • Unlimited PTO • 401(k) and ROTH 401(k) with 3% employer contribution • $1k home office budget Benefits may vary based upon location to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
