About the Role We’re hiring an Implementation Manager to support client onboarding, renewals, and Open Enrollment by ensuring strategy turns into smooth, accurate execution. This role sits between Account Management and Operations, acting as a central coordination point once client strategy is set. You’ll own standardized intake, track readiness, and help ensure that all required information, documentation, and sequencing are in place before work moves downstream. This is a great role for someone who enjoys managing details, building repeatable processes, and proactively solving problems—while working closely with Account Managers, Operations teammates, and external partners. What You'll Do Client Intake & Implementation Support Manage standardized intake for new clients, renewals, and Open Enrollment events Translate Account Manager–led strategy into clear, actionable implementation plans Ensure required information is collected to support: Benefits administration system setup Carrier underwriting and group-level documentation Payroll, TPA, and vendor coordination Help track implementation readiness and sequencing across workstreams Cross-Functional Coordination Partner with Account Managers after strategy is finalized to support smooth handoffs into execution Provide Operations with complete, well-organized implementation materials to minimize rework Coordinate with internal teams to anticipate regulatory, documentation, and reporting needs Assist with carrier submissions and underwriting coordination Open Enrollment & Follow-Through Track documentation, signatures, payroll backups, and compliance deliverables during and after Open Enrollment Identify employee-facing changes (e.g., new HSA/FSA vendors, plan changes) and help ensure communications, FAQs, and materials are prepared in advance Support availability of benefit materials and resources before issues arise Process & Continuous Improvement Maintain implementation checklists, workflows, and tracking tools used by Account Management and Operations Contribute to ongoing improvements in intake and implementation processes with an eye toward scalability and automation Learn and apply new tools—including AI-enabled workflows—to improve efficiency and accuracy What You'll Bring Experience & Background 3+ years of experience in employee benefits, HR operations, insurance implementations, or complex client onboarding environments Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (or equivalent experience) Skills & Strengths Strong organizational and project coordination skills Comfort managing multiple deadlines and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with benefits administration systems, carriers, TPAs, and payroll integrations Clear written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and follow-through Comfortable using Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets) and web-based tools Self-directed and effective in a remote work environment Curious about technology and interested in using automation and AI to improve how work gets done Team-oriented, dependable, and committed to doing things the right way This is a remote position but preferred candidates will be based in San Francisco or the surrounding area.
