Full Description

We are seeking an experienced Director of Inventory/Buyer to work out of our Willowbrook, IL. location full-time onsite. This highly collaborative and interactive leadership position is responsible for the overall management of inventory and buying for all store locations. Will develop and implement inventory strategies to support business goals and increase company profit. Responsibilities: • Maintain a master inventory planogram. • Manage backstock of jewelry. • Correspond with vendors to order products, negotiate terms and resolve issues. • Manage back stock balancing. • Create plans to sell aged inventory. • Re-order fast sellers and place all jewelry orders. • Create and maintain a merchandising plan with pricing. • Perform a competitive analysis of inventory. • Travel to buy shows in and out of state. • Identify new vendors to meet trends, client interests and increase sales. • Manage physical inventory process twice a year. • Work with inventory team to maintain jewelry displays and merchandise jewelry cases. Requirements: • Bachelors' degree and equivalent jewelry experience. • 5 years minimum inventory control and buying experience in a luxury retail jewelry. • Working knowledge of fine jewelry brands and watches. • Precise attention to detail. • Strong and clear verbal and written communication skills.
