Full Description

At Bee Techy, we’re a top 1% B2B software development agency based in Southern California, delivering sleek and scalable solutions to startups and enterprises alike. As we expand, we’re looking for a proactive and detail-driven Product Owner to guide software projects from concept to completion. 💼 What You’ll Do: • Lead discovery — Run stakeholder interviews, user research, map personas/flows, and synthesize insights into clear problem statements. • Own product vision & strategy — Align with client goals, constraints, and commercial outcomes; communicate a compelling direction. • PRD excellence — Maintain a living PRD with scope, acceptance criteria, non-functional & compliance requirements; manage approvals/sign-offs. • Roadmap management — Prioritize by impact/effort/dependencies; maintain quarterly roadmap with clear milestones and cut lines. • Backlog ownership — Write/curate epics & stories with tight acceptance criteria; keep Jira clean, organized, and traceable PRD ↔ design ↔ dev ↔ release. • Rituals & facilitation — Run planning, standups, reviews, and retros; surface risks early and remove blockers fast. • Design partnership — Ensure wireframes/prototypes satisfy requirements; run usability reviews; enforce design QA before handoff. • Technical alignment — Partner with Team Leaders for feasibility, sequencing, estimates, and environment readiness; manage scope changes. • Delivery planning — Build realistic plans, timelines, and release trains; keep stakeholders aligned on dates and dependencies. • Documentation & source of truth — Keep Google Drive tidy with decisions, notes, diagrams; maintain versioned artifacts. • Stakeholder communication — Set expectations, share structured updates, demo progress, and obtain timely approvals. • Budget & scope stewardship — Track burn vs. estimate/budget, manage change requests, and protect margins without compromising outcomes. • Risk & incident management — Triage issues, classify severity, communicate clearly to stakeholders, run postmortems, and drive corrective actions. • Handoff & support transition — Secure final sign-off, deliver handover packs, coordinate warranty/support, and close the loop with clients. ✅ You’re a Great Fit If You: • Have 5+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, or Technical Project Management • Are highly organized, capable of managing multiple projects, clients, and timelines simultaneously • Have strong command of Jira, user story writing, and Agile workflows • Are fluent in English, both spoken and written, with confidence on client-facing video calls • Can be available between 8 AM – 12 PM PDT for key standups, planning meetings, and demos • Are comfortable discussing technical topics (e.g., APIs, frontend/backend scope, database logic) with developers and clients • Thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment where your attention to detail and ownership mindset make the difference 💡 Bonus Points For: • Familiarity with Agile estimation techniques (story points, hours, etc.) • Experience working with both startups and enterprise clients • Understanding of design-to-dev handoff via tools like Figma • Exposure to project documentation tools like Notion, Confluence, or Google Docs • Experience with feature discovery, product strategy, or roadmap planning 🍯 The Honey Pot: • Hourly Rate: $20–$25/hour (based on experience) • Workload: Part-time (20 hours/week), with option to move to full-time (40 hours/week) after 1 month • Guaranteed Raise: 5% hourly rate increase every 4 months if KPIs are met • Collaborative Culture: Work with top-tier developers, designers, and QA engineers on meaningful projects • Growth-Oriented: This isn’t just project management — you’ll grow as a product thinker, too If you're ready to own the roadmap, translate client visions into digital reality, and keep projects buzzing along — you’ll feel right at home in our hive. 🐝 Apply today and help us build software that makes the world buzz.
