The full Pay Range is $32.02-$59.76 hourly. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Additional details regarding BECU Benefits can be found here. IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE: As a Fraud Intelligence Analyst, you’ll play a key role in protecting BECU and its members from fraud. Your deep analytical skills and fraud domain knowledge will help uncover emerging threats, analyze suspicious activity, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to build smarter fraud prevention strategies. This role empowers you to think critically, explore complex datasets, and directly influence how we safeguard the financial well-being of our members. Your insights will help shape how we detect fraud today—and prevent it tomorrow. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Deliver Insightful Analysis: Create and maintain dashboards and reports that provide visibility into fraud trends, enabling better decision-making and response. Spot Emerging Threats: Monitor fraud activity across products and channels, identifying patterns and trends before they escalate. Drive Root Cause Solutions: Use statistical and performance analysis to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement in fraud detection. Refine Our Defenses: Continuously evaluate new data sources to uncover novel patterns and support the evolution of our fraud strategies. Communicate Key Findings: Provide timely updates to leadership on fraud patterns, vendor tool effectiveness, and actionable intelligence. Enhance Tools and Models: Collaborate with vendors, product managers, and digital teams to improve detection rules and modeling accuracy. Meet Performance Metrics: Stay accountable to key fraud performance indicators and strive to exceed expectations. Partner for Progress: Join discussions with internal stakeholders and external partners to support the rollout of fraud mitigation solutions. Lead Collaborative Calibrations: Participate in fraud review sessions to surface potential threats, explore root causes, and implement solution strategies. Track Performance: Maintain ongoing tracking of fraud model outcomes to ensure tools remain accurate and effective. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, statistics, related field or equivalent work or educational experience. Minimum of two years of experience in fraud investigations and analysis, conducting forensic analyses on large, disparate data sets to detect and investigate anomalies, developing actionable insights, developing strategy, or equivalent work or educational experience. Proficient PC skills (MS Office), working knowledge of reporting software and database querying tools, and the ability to learn new software. Good project management skills. Full-time hours required with additional hours as necessary. Desired Qualifications: Experience specifically detecting and analyzing fraud, abuse, or other unlawful activity in a large-scale financial system, identity system, advertising platform, and/or comparable environment. Excellent verbal and written communication, and presentation skills, including the ability to explain findings and recommendations clearly and succinctly to a diverse array of audiences.
