Job DescriptionThe IT Business Partner – Logistics & Global Trade serves as a key partner and trusted advisor to BD’s Logistics, and Global Trade organizations. This role is accountable for shaping and delivering digital capabilities in collaboration with platform digital team that improve service, compliance, cost, resilience, and visibility across global logistics and trade operations. Operating within BD’s Technology & Global Services (TGS) Business Partner framework, this role bridges business strategy and technology execution, translating logistics and global trade priorities into scalable digital use cases, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes. Key Responsibilities Strategic & Operational Business Partnership Act as the primary IT interface for Global Logistics and Global Trade leaders, building positive relationships and deep understanding of business objectives, risks, and opportunities. Co-develop and maintain a multi-year technology roadmap aligned to BD supply chain, logistics, and global trade strategies. Develop demand by identifying, qualifying, and prioritizing high-value digital use cases using BD’s governance and value management processes. Digital Use Case Identification & Delivery Lead the ideation, development of the argument, and implementation of digital logistics and global trade use cases, including (but not limited to): • Integration with transportation and warehouse visibility • Trade compliance automation and risk controls • Network optimization and flow analytics • Integration with carriers, brokers, and customs platforms • Data, analytics, and decision-support capabilities related to logistics trade areas Partner with Digital, Data, Platform, and Architecture teams to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant solutions. Program & Portfolio Leadership Be accountable for the logistics and global trade IT portfolio, ensuring initiatives are prioritized based on business value, risk, and capacity. Ensure solutions are delivered using agile methods and a focus on delivering customer value, partnering across internal and external delivery teams. Process Excellence & Transformation Collaborate with Process Excellence, Operations, and Compliance teams to standardize and simplify logistics and global trade processes through technology enablement. Promote adoption, change management, and value realization for implemented solutions. Leadership & Collaborator Management Influence senior collaborators across Supply Chain, Finance, Compliance, and IT to achieve aligned outcomes. Manage vendors and strategic partners delivering logistics and trade technology solutions. Mentor and develop team members and contribute to a strong IT Business Partner community within TGS. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field • 8+ years of experience in IT Business Partnering, Supply Chain IT, or Digital Transformation roles • Strong domain knowledge in logistics, transportation, distribution, and/or global trade • Proven experience delivering complex, cross-functional digital initiatives • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior business leaders • Experience working within structured IT governance and portfolio management frameworks Preferred Qualifications • Experience in global, regulated, or life sciences environments • Knowledge of global trade compliance concepts and systems • Familiarity with digital technologies such as analytics platforms, automation, integration middleware, and cloud-based supply chain solutions • MBA or advanced degree At BD, we prioritize on-site collaboration because we believe it fosters creativity, innovation, and effective problem-solving, which are essential in the fast-paced healthcare industry.
