Role Overview The Senior Production Strategist is a front-end production leader responsible for shaping, scoping, and winning new and organic business opportunities. Acting as the bridge between possibility and execution, this role ensures opportunities are operationally feasible, financially sound, and strategically positioned for success. The Senior Production Strategist plays a critical role in improving win rates, building client confidence, and handing off projects to the Production team with clarity and confidence. What You’ll Do Business Development Leadership • Serve as the senior production lead on new and organic business opportunities, influencing feasibility, pricing strategy, and operational approach. • Shape and execute the production response process, including budgets, timelines, staffing models, and logistics. • Collaborate with Executive Leadership, Client Services, and Creative to evaluate opportunities, assess viability, and define scope and resource needs. • Represent Production in pursuit discussions to refine deliverables, challenge assumptions, and drive alignment across departments. • Present production strategies during pitches, demonstrating confidence and expertise in front of executive-level clients. • Manage multiple simultaneous pursuits across varied scope, size, and complexity. Transition & Strategic Oversight • Own the handoff process for awarded projects, ensuring full alignment on scope, budget, and timeline. • Develop and deliver comprehensive transition materials to Client Services, Production, and Creative teams. • Attend kickoff meetings and remain a strategic touchpoint through early execution, ensuring promises made during pitch are upheld. • Maintain visibility into key projects to monitor that scope and feasibility align with what was sold. Resourcing Strategy • Identify the right internal and freelance resources for new project pursuits, factoring in skillset, availability, and fit in partnership with Executive Producers and VP of Production. • Collaborate with Production leadership and Experiential Operations to recommend assignments and flag resourcing gaps. • Provide insights to support resource planning and utilization strategy. Vendor Feasibility & Scoping • Lead vendor outreach and scope conversations during business development cycles. • Evaluate vendor capabilities and ensure estimates align with pitch expectations. • Partner with Experiential Operations to refine and expand the agency’s preferred vendor network. Business Development & Process Tools • Drive the improvement of business development processes, tools, and templates in partnership with Experiential Operations. • Evolve pricing, feasibility, and staffing models to increase speed, accuracy, and clarity in pursuits. • Collaborate with the VP of Agency Growth on the development of sales tools, pitch decks, and case studies. • Share learnings across the team to strengthen pursuit consistency and efficiency. Operational Discipline • Execute internal processes, including time tracking, expense management, partner payment processing, and data entry. • Attend team meetings regularly, providing updates on pursuit status and transition readiness. Requirements WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience • 6–10 years in experiential marketing, specifically in production with a strong focus on production strategy, budgeting, and team building. • Proven track record leading new business and organic business pursuits, including direct ownership of pitch strategy, feasibility planning, and client-facing presentations. Demonstrated success in winning work. • Deep experience developing and managing budgets, leading vendor negotiations, and shaping resourcing strategies at a senior level. • Advanced Excel skills and fluency in presentation platforms (Keynote, PowerPoint, Google Slides). Familiarity with tools such as Notion and Airtable is a plus. • Skilled at presenting to executive-level clients and driving confidence through clear, strategic communication. Ability to influence decision-making and build trust across stakeholder groups. • Strong strategic thinker with the ability to design production plans that align creative vision with operational realities. Adept at organizing and leading cross-functional teams to deliver against client and agency goals. • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for pitches, client meetings, or key project milestones. Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
