Check out some awesome offerings: • Competitive pay • Health benefits: medical, dental, vision • 401k plan • Tuition assistance • Associate discounts and perks • Paid time off for full-time associates • Career growth opportunities Job Responsibilities • Responsible for employment decisions like recruiting, interviewing, hiring, coaching, and terminating. • Builds an open-door culture by engaging and listening to associates, leveraging Voice of Associate tool to listen and respond to feedback. • Accountable for creating and posting store schedules after receiving input from Experience and Process Leaders. • Facilitates associate experience and supports development through reviews, recognition, team activities, labor management, training, onboarding, mentoring, and succession planning. • Delegates effectively, empowers others to succeed, challenges others to reach their full potential, and encourages ownership for results. • Cascades information to associates, adjusts priorities to meet goals and commitments, and ensures continued alignment with changing environments. • Addresses and administers associate complaints and grievances. • Recognizes and celebrates associates driving overall engagement. • Ensures all associate reviews are delivered on time. Store Experience • Leads associate and pet parent experience at all levels, ensuring pets in care are safe and healthy. • Accountable for pet parent experiences, including telephone, in-person, or online interactions, and responding to general and escalated concerns. • Creates a store environment focused on delivering exceptional, positive in-store pet parent and associate experiences. • Evaluates operations, seeks opportunities to improve processes and services, collaborates with Store Leadership to ensure efficient event outcomes, and maintains store standards. • Responsible for conducting monthly Core and Services Walks to validate proper execution of policies and procedures. • Ensures compliance with inventory management tools to guarantee adequate in-stock levels for pet parents. Business Management • Delivers corporate strategy and profitability goals by executing leadership direction. • Analyzes reporting in various areas, root causes issues, responds to business results, communicates improvements to leaders and associates, and creates improvement plans when necessary. • Identifies opportunities to grow the business, recognizes successes, and holds associates accountable for meeting sales and shrink targets. • Manages expenses like labor and supplies, relevant store metrics, and payroll processing. Qualifications and Requirements • 4-6 years of retail leadership or customer-focused experience. • Full-time availability, flexibility in schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. • Proficiency in computer applications. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to react under pressure, maintain composure. • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail.
