Unlock a Rewarding Career in Patient Care You will play a vital role in a multidisciplinary team providing high-quality care and treatment to patients with renal failure. Key Responsibilities Direct patient care involves gathering vital signs, initiating treatment, monitoring patients during treatment, terminating treatment, and collecting patient blood samples as ordered by physicians. Technician duties include preparing machines for hemodialysis treatments, cleaning and disinfecting machines after treatment, and conducting machine safety checks and logging results for quality control. Adhere to all protocols and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment. Participate in required staff meetings and continuing education offerings. Requirements and Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent. • Prior healthcare experience, particularly in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a certified nursing assistant (CNA), is highly desirable. • Ability to accurately mix acids and bicarbonate according to established protocols. • Capacity to distinguish primary colors. Other essential requirements include successful completion of a training program approved by the Medical Director, CPR certification within 90 days of hire, and attainment of Patient Care Technician certification through a state-approved certification program or national commercially available program within 18 months of hire date.
