Business Development Specialist Evanston, IL Bear Claw is looking for a Business Developer to join our dynamic team. The role requires an ambitious and self-motivated individual who can help us expand our clientele and drive the company forward. The successful candidate will aggressively pursue company decision-makers and schedule demos of our cutting-edge software solutions. They will be responsible for chasing down lukewarm leads, hot leads, converting leads into opportunities, and scheduling demos for senior executives to close. Responsibilities • Chase down warm and hot leads via calling, emailing, and social media outreach, such as linkedin. • Create interest in Bear Claw by highlighting value propositions and overcoming prospect business pains. • Network, cold call, email, and inmail prospects to arrange meetings and demos to showcase our software. • Build and maintain relationships with prospects. • Work in tandem with the marketing and sales teams to manage incoming leads and expand our customer reach. • Follow-up market trends, customer needs, and competitor data to provide valuable insights for the development team and recommend new business opportunities and deliver compelling pitches to prospects. • Build connections that will benefit the company. Qualifications • A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field, with 1–2 years of experience in a similar role. • Work-first, competitive, goal-oriented mentality. • Can-do anything attitude and wants to lead by example. • Software sales experience, a plus, but not required. • Wants to and likes to work in an in-office environment. • Motivated self-starter who likes to learn new things and takes to coaching. • Proven success in business development, with excellent relationship-building and communication skills. • Ability to multitask and manage several projects at once. • Strong leadership qualities and the confidence to present our products to potential clients. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software is essential.
