The firm provides a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment where senior associates enjoy significant autonomy, direct client interaction, and a clear path to partnership. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Lead complex commercial and real estate litigation matters involving breach of contract, real property disputes, landlord-tenant issues, construction defects, title disputes, partition actions, and business torts • Manage financial services defense litigation, including foreclosure defense, lender liability, and banking-related disputes • Oversee all phases of litigation from initial case assessment and pleadings through discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and trial • Draft and argue dispositive motions, including motions to dismiss, summary judgment motions, and demurrers in state and federal court • Conduct and defend depositions of parties, experts, and key witnesses • Develop comprehensive litigation strategies and provide tactical recommendations to clients and senior partners • Engage in trial preparation and courtroom advocacy, including witness examination, opening statements, and closing arguments • Communicate directly with clients, providing case updates, strategic counsel, and managing client relationships • Mentor junior associates and support staff, contributing to the firm's collaborative team culture ________________________________________ Qualifications • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school • 7-10 years of proven litigation experience with substantial focus on real estate litigation and business/commercial litigation • Active California State Bar membership in good standing (required) • Demonstrated expertise in real property disputes, contract litigation, and financial services defense • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills with the ability to draft complex briefs and argue motions effectively • Federal and state court litigation experience, including significant motion practice and courtroom appearances • Exceptional case management and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple matters simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines • Client-focused approach with excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Self-starter with strong initiative, capable of working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment • Trial experience is highly preferred ________________________________________ Compensation & Benefits The firm offers a highly competitive compensation package commensurate with experience, including: • Base salary competitive with regional market standards for 7-10 year senior litigation associates • Performance-based discretionary bonuses tied to billable hours, business development, and contributions to firm growth • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance for employees and dependents • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching contributions • Generous paid time off (PTO), including vacation, sick leave, and firm holidays • Professional development support, including CLE reimbursement, bar association dues, and conference attendance • Parking or commuter benefits for Irvine office location • Opportunities for business development and client origination, with credit for new matters brought to the firm ________________________________________ Practice Environment & Culture This Irvine-based firm has built a reputation as a formidable presence in Southern California real estate and business litigation.
