BCforward is seeking a Technical Program Manager with Hardware (Audio/Consumer Electronics experience to work remote in Sunnyvale CA or Redmond WA. Start/End Dates: 10/6/2025 - 10/5/2026 Location: US - CA - Bay Area/Redmond WA - Remote Pay: $85- $90/hr/W2 Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager (TPM) with strong hardware development experience to support our Hardware Design TPMs. This role involves driving engineering deliverables, managing hardware component delivery, and overseeing schedules from concept through mass production. The ideal candidate has a background in consumer electronics, understands product design and fabrication processes, and is an excellent communicator across cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities Partner with Hardware Design TPMs to coordinate engineering deliverables (specifications, DOE, validation plans). Manage delivery of hardware components for development builds and qualification to meet mass production timelines. Create and manage development, delivery, and qualification schedules that account for system requirements, lead-times, and risks. Own program structure for clarity and efficiency, ensuring alignment across engineering and leadership teams. Drive communication between internal cross-functional teams and external suppliers. Track and report program status, risks, and dependencies (including vendor tooling schedules and design sprints). Maintain program documentation for leadership visibility and decision-making. Support Smart Glasses program planning and build strategy. Scope of Work & Deliverables Product design convergence & design lock – alignment and finalization of hardware design. DFM & OK2fab – ensure manufacturability and readiness for production approval. Material readiness – drive procurement and delivery of materials for builds. DOE & Build Matrix planning – define and execute validation experiments and build plans. Hardware engineering schedules – manage timelines for prototypes, validation units, and production. Minimum Qualifications BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience. 5+ years of technical program management experience in consumer electronics hardware. Prior engineering experience (mechanical, electrical, or related). Experience with overseas suppliers and vendor engagement models (ODM, JDM, CM). Knowledge of phase gate development, design for manufacturing, tooling, validation, and characterization processes. Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with ability to manage large cross-functional teams. Proficient in issue tracking, risk management, and documentation. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Audio hardware or similar hardware technology. Prior experience in Amazon, or other leading consumer electronics companies. Strong supplier management skills. Experience transitioning from engineering into program management. MBA or advanced degree a plus.
